AsyLex is a Swiss NGO dedicated to enabling access to justice for asylum seekers globally. We develop innovative, tech-driven solutions that make legal information and representation more accessible. In our presentation, we highlight our newest project in the making: a centralized safe pathways database, to be hosted on the Rights in Exile Platform, an online hub centralizing legal information for asylum seekers and legal advisories on over 150 countries worldwide. Thanks to an integrated AI chatbot, asylum seekers will be able to easily navigate the database and access tailored guidance.
In times when paths to safety for persons seeking international protection become increasingly dangerous, safe pathways are all the more crucial. However, information on existing pathways remains scarce, scattered and often hard to understand for persons on the move. The safe pathways database that AsyLex is developing aims to counter this trend by bringing expert stakeholders together to collaboratively centralize existing information on the Rights in Exile Platform, an online hub compiling legal information for asylum seekers and legal advisories on over 150 countries. Through the integration of an AI Chatbot, users will be able to easily find accurate and tailored information.
